I am a practising doctor in London. Originally from Glasgow, I studied molecular biology and from there, went on to qualify in medicine. After various junior medical posts I undertook research at Harvard Medical School. I now work as a haematologist in a London teaching hospital.
I has been involved in graphic design and medical illustration for a number of years. I have written and typeset around 50 books on medicine and computing.
I am fairly obsessed with chemistry (and I want others to feel the excitement too!) so I have created art based on molecules used in clinical medicine and for recreational purposes. Starting with the basic molecule, I have redesigned these bringing a pop art feel to the structures, along with bright colours which make the molecular structures visually appealing.
I am trying to get others excited by the world of science through the medium of pop art.
All my work is available as fine art prints, framed and unframed, Chromaluxe (aluminium prints), Apple Watch bands, coffee mugs, coasters and other media.
