Sarah Bond is an established landscape artist working from her studio in Cumnor Village, near Oxford. Her paintings are exhibited across the world.
She works mainly in oils, but also in watercolour and acrylic, using a bold palette and layer upon layer of rich textures. Walking inspires her art, whether it is across the local countryside, along coastal paths, or high in the mountains. Her work aims to evoke a feeling and capture a sense of place.
Sarah grew up by the coast and has always been fascinated by the sea. The coastline and turquoise waters around St Ives, Cornwall have been the inspiration for many of her seascapes. Recently her work has explored the effect of climate change on the natural environment and the positive aspects of renewable energy.
Last year one of her offshore wind energy paintings was exhibited by the Global Wind Energy Council at COP26 in Glasgow.
