An exhibition of beautiful, unique hand built ceramic homeware and sculpture, displayed in The Granary - a welcoming, dog friendly cafe in the small picturesque town of Watlington. Pieces for sale include bowls, platters, candle holders, vases, garden planters, as well as abstract indoor and outdoor sculpture. Andrea works primarily with stoneware clay, using a unique dry finish glaze to give a textured surface reminiscent of natural lichens and moulds, or rusts and patinas on metal. Her work is inspired by the ancient symbol of the spiral, and also by nature and man-made mechanisms, eg. clockwork. Visitors can view the art and meet the artist while enjoying great coffee and homemade food. This show is part of a larger event of 30 artists taking place around the town. The art can be seen whenever the cafe is open (times below), and the artist will be on site all day on 11-13th and 17-19th May. There will also be work from a potter and two photographers on show in the cafe.
