Melissa is a contemporary multi-disciplinary artist, inspired by the natural world. She makes animals and quirky bird sculptures for the garden and home. The life-sized garden sculptures are made from strand wires and wire-netting, often painted, and indoor pieces are created from a variety of materials including found objects and papier-mâché. She sometimes uses bright, unrealistic colours and loves allowing the spirit of the piece find its own voice. Wallpieces are framed and unframed, made using different techniques, including handmade paper and fabrics. Commissions welcome.
