My artwork is inspired by Biological Science: my fascination with studying the natural world and my experiences in the laboratory as a student and at work. I have always found Biology to be a highly visual science, which is what drew me to it in the first place. The work exhibited at the Oxfordshire Artweek in 2026 particularly takes inspiration from my work in the lab, where I think there is a kind of beauty or visual excitement to be found even in a clinical environment. I explore the issue of laboratory waste and the mountains of plastic we accumulate in endless supply, and the sense of suffocation this imparts and environmental responsibility.
