87 Christopher Harrison

Region: Wallingford – South & Vale
Artform: Photography
For award-winning photographer Christopher Harrison, photography is about finding the extraordinary in the ordinary. Based near Henley-on-Thames, Christopher’s work is dictated by the rhythm of the seasons, capturing the landscape when the conditions align perfectly to reveal its hidden beauty. This often requires patience, with numerous visits to the same locations, to capture these special moments.
From the vibrant tones of autumn woodlands to the stark, minimal beauty of winter snow and frost, Christopher chases the light that transforms familiar views into art. Whilst his portfolio on display will be broad, it will feature two award-winning examples of this seasonal magic:
“Bluebells at Sunrise” captures the peak of spring, with sunbeams piercing the beechwood canopy to illuminate a vivid carpet of bluebells. This photograph won the Landscape category of the 2024 British Photography Awards.
“The Long Shadow” reveals the atmospheric drama of early spring, where morning sunlight casts the shadow of beech trees into the mist over an ancient Bronze Age barrow – captured by drone. This photograph won the 2025 Drone Photo Awards Nature Category & the 2025 British Photography Awards Drone Category.
Whether it is a frozen winter morning or the beautiful spring bluebell bloom, Christopher captures Oxfordshire & beyond at its most dramatic. A range of framed, mounted, and fine art prints will be available for purchase.
