Over the past year, my artistic practice has expanded both geographically and technically. Following the 2025 Oxfordshire Artweeks, where I invited six fellow artists to share my studio space, I founded The Art Hive—a collaborative creative community that now hosts regular open evenings and workshops, fostering artistic exchange and public engagement.
My recent work has been shaped by travels across Europe, where I’ve painted my way through diverse landscapes and urban settings, capturing the essence of each location. This period of exploration has enriched my visual language and deepened my understanding of light, atmosphere and place.
I continue to work predominantly in oils and watercolours, undertaking commissions whilst maintaining my commitment to painting the local landscapes and towns of the Chilterns and surrounding AONB. My current artistic focus centres on an innovative technique that merges oils and watercolours into richly textured contemporary paintings. I’m pushing this hybrid approach further, introducing a looser, more illustrative style that balances structure with spontaneity, allowing the materiality of the paint to become an integral part of the composition.
Through my work, I seek to simplify and distil the surrounding built and natural landscapes through the interplay of colours, shapes, textures, light and shadow—creating fresh, contemporary interpretations of familiar places.
