Iffley Church drawn during a workshop for amateurs, guided by artist Micah Hayns.

Region: Oxford East – City

Artform: Drawing

Iffley Church is an outstanding Romanesque building, a place of beauty and calm. It overlooks the River Thames and stands alongside its medieval Rectory and the thatched church hall in Iffley’s village street. At the same time it serves the lively residential neighbourhoods of Rose Hill and Donnington. The annual drawing workshop is a popular community event. Participants spend the day with a sketchbook in their hand and a professional artist to guide them. This year there will be an introduction to drawing in charcoal. The workshop begins and ends in the Church Hall, concluding with an exhibition of work done during the day. Places are limited. Pre-booking essential.
