223 Iron Down Sculpture Studio

Region: Banbury – North & West
Artform: Ceramics, Drawing, Mixed Media, Mosaics, Painting, Sculpture
The Iron Down Sculpture Studio developed two years ago out of the Bicester Sculpture Group which used to be based in the centre of Bicester. At the beginning we were solely a group of sculptors working together in a variety of different media from clay, wood, wire to mixed media, but a year ago we expanded and welcomed into our studio a more diverse collection of artists to include a mosaic artist and painters working in oils, acrylics and watercolours.
We have an exciting working studio in a farm just outside Deddington Oxon, where we are involved in many different projects swapping our ideas and experience and interacting with each other to create a variety of exciting and original work. We exhibit occasionally throughout the year either as a group or as individuals in local exhibitions where it is possible to see and buy our work, or commission a special piece if wanted. We welcome like minded interested people to come and see what we do here or to take part in our Clay Days which are held periodically throughout the year where anyone who wants to “have a go”, regardless of experience, can come and have fun making an object of their choice.
Our group includes: Sculptor Chris Rothero working in wire and metal; Sculptor Wendie Norris working in clay; Sculptor Louise Allison working in clay and mixed media; Painter Pete Appleford working in acrylics, oils and drawings; Painter Ronnie Biggs working in oils and watercolours; Painter Angy Man working in oils and drawings and Mosaic artist Nicky Selby
