I work in different mediums, making detailed pencil drawings of animals, insects and people, and also colourful embroidered textile art in a more illustrative style, still focused on drawing.

I’m particularly fascinated by bugs and animals, and how different each individual creature is. A big part of my process involves observing how they interact with their environment, and making sketches to work from in my studio.

In my textile art, I’m inspired by bright sunset colours and combining patterns and textures in fun and interesting ways. The intention behind my art is to convey how beautiful the seemingly simple things in life are, when we take time to slow down and notice them.

Busby K Studio and Gallery, between Wallingford and Henley, near NT Nuffield Place, is easily accessed directly off Timbers Lane, Nuffield, with free parking. There are several artists showing work in different mediums, including jewellery, painting, ceramics and photography.
