Ronald Turner has always had an interest in drawing and for the most part became self-taught. Moving to Oxfordshire over 25 years ago has been drawn back into art and been encouraged to do more. He began producing pictures of pets and houses for friends and family and then became interested in animals and lately producing Iconic elements of the world we live in, including food and drinks, on the other side he has produced some works depicting the 1st World War……who knows what he will do next! His work is displayed in local galleries and has participated in Artweeks and over the last two years produced Christmas cards of local villages.
He has a keen interest in the use of pastels, graphite and latterly the use of Inks in a loose way giving intense colour and a lively character (and fun!) to my artwork.
When he paints he always put on some vinyl rock music, normally something guitar based or a touch of Pink Floyd if he don’t feel like anything too heavy!
He is always grateful and inspired when someone takes an interest in his work, producing art is an art and needs to invoke a feeling…..
