My art is inspired by walking and sketching in nature. My semi abstracted paintings evoke my emotional memory of place. I hope the viewer will sense the exuberance and delight I feel in nature that inspire my work. Cornish and Devon seascapes have provided much of my material. Colour, light and energy are key to my enjoyment of painting, I have been experimenting with colourful interiors looking out.
I regularly travel to Cornwall to study with Ashley Hanson, who exhibited and sold work at the Royal Academy summer exhibition 2025.
