This year, I’m looking forward to welcoming you back to my studio in Chipping Norton and the launch of a new artist’s book – a folded structure with pockets for recipes and new artwork based on kitchens and food preparation – ‘All I want is a crowded table – Food for family, feasts, festivals and fun or just for one’. A limited edition of 100 as they’re put together by hand. Originally aimed at friends and family who ask me for recipes that are my standards – because they’re easy to get together when you’re busy.
I have continued to expand my work on temperate/ Celtic rainforests with new paintings of the woods in spring, when light filters through early bright leaves onto the small flowers that embroider the woodland floor.
There are also prints and cards including a new pack of ancient woodland cards.
For the first time I am joined by the jeweller Jane Griffiths – see her separate entry. Her past as a bookbinder informs her work, as it does mine. She lives near me in Chippy and her work is wonderfully unique and fascinating, bold and tactile with contrasting textures, combining semi-precious stones with found wood, stones, glass and metal.

From Chipping Norton town centre follow the A44, down the hill, in the direction of Morton in Marsh, after the sharp right hand bend near the town Hall, take the 2nd turning on the left marked to my exhibition – Dunstan Avenue. My studio is about quarter of mile along this road signed on the right, opposite Leys Approach. Take the side/garden entrance. All marked.
