Region: Watlington – South & Vale
Artform: Mixed Media, Painting, Printmaking
I am a contemporary landscape painter who explores the horizon as a powerful symbol of possibility, change, and renewal.
My work captures the beauty of transition—the space between where we’ve been and where we’re going. Through sweeping landscapes, luminous color, and shifting light, I create paintings that reflect the resilience and limitless potential of those in midlife stepping into a new chapter of their lives.
Growing up in Cambridge, I was shaped by the vast, open skies of the East Anglian Fens, where the meeting of land and sky first sparked my fascination with liminal spaces. Now based in the Chiltern Hills, I continue to explore this deep connection between landscape and personal transformation.
Using acrylic, printmaking and a wide range of mixed media techniques, I build layers of colour and texture to reflect both the physical landscapes that inspire me and the emotional landscapes we navigate in life. The movement of paint mirrors the movement of change—sometimes fluid, sometimes turbulent, but always leading us forward.
