Sometimes it’s just a question of where shall I walk, which direction shall I take and what am I expecting to get? Most of the time it’s just and enjoyable walk but sometimes everything falls into place, the street becomes a stage and the people the actors. Doesn’t often happen but it’s great when it does. As Martin Parr once said “I do a lot of very bad pictures because you have to do a lot of bad ones to get the good ones so the struggle goes on to try and make a good photo which is not easy.”
Standing, watching people go about their daily lives in cities and how they join forces with their surroundings. These images reflect the bustle of London and more relaxed attitude of Paris or Venice.
I’ll be showing as part of The Watlington Photographers’ Collective in the Function Room of the Watlington Memorial Club.
