141 Harriet Riddell

Region: Watlington – South & Vale
Artform: Drawing, Textiles
Harriet’s work is inspired by adventure, human connection and capturing life as it happens. She uses free-motion embroidery and a rich mix of textiles to stitch scenes and portraits from life.
At this year’s Oxfordshire Artweeks, Harriet Riddell will be juggling sewing machine and baby (not literally). She will be creating her signature stitched portraits live, with the chance to book your own portrait to be made.
Visitors can buy original stitched artworks, prints on cloth, and take home kits to try her techniques themselves, as well as learn more through her online course.
Harriet is exhibiting as part of a group show with three other artists: James Ort, Jo Harris and Toby Rossiter.
