My work has always been inspired by nature, either here in my immediate surroundings or foreign travel such as my Madagascan tortoise and the peacock. A beautiful garden and wild flower meadow next door are a delight throughout the seasons and a source for drawings which are then translated onto vessels and tiles. I am currently experimenting with blue pigment only to depict an image, relying on tone, rather like the Dutch tiles. Visitors are welcome to look around the garden, meadow and my studio during their visit.
My whippets are often modelled and drawn and other animals and birds feature on vessels.
