Come join us for a fun hand building pottery workshop at the pub. Whether you have experience with clay or not, this session is designed to be enjoyed by everyone. This is a social crafting event which encourages people to get out in the community and connect either to themselves or with others through creative endeavours. It is a perfect team building activity to do with colleagues after work, a great option for an interesting first date, a perfect event to do with a friend you haven’t caught up with in a while or maybe just something social to go and do on your own in order to unwind after a stressful day.
Pottery at the Pub takes place at The Slow & Steady in Oxford the first Wednesday of the month. Working with a pinch pot construction method, we focus on making objects out of clay. The work is then fired and glazed and returned to the participants to collect at the pub 3 weeks after the event. Every month we explore a different theme but you are always welcome to make whatever you want out of the clay provided.
The Slow & Steady has a fabulous event space upstairs where we host the event. Get to the class early and you can have a delicious meal. It is located just outside of the congestion charge and is well served with buses up and down the Abingdon Road.
