My watercolours are inspired by Otmoor and the landscape around me. I enjoy painting big skies reflected in pools and floodwater. Winter holds a special attraction with the dun colours of dried grasses and the browns and purples in the hedgerows lit by low winter sun. The addition of vast flocks wildfowl and waders all adds to the atmosphere.
Visits to Poland and other countries in Europe present new challenges for painting.
