Do come to see my oil paintings, along with prints and cards. Mel will be here too, an established potter new to this area. The paintings link to the natural world: birds, animals, flowers, seascapes, landscapes. The website shows photos but the actual paintings have more impact, especially with cold wax giving texture and subtle luminosity of colour.
I can promise two things. Firstly, reasonable pricing, especially for original oils of decent size, because I don’t sell elsewhere with gallery commission or venue hire, and we assemble our own frames. Secondly, no pressure to buy, because it’s great to meet people who look at art on a free day out. Anyway, a lot sells. There’s friendliness, chat and sitting in the lovely cottage garden.
The oils are satin varnished on cradled wood panels. Frames will be shown on the website – tray style for large ones and wider ‘St. Ives style’ for smaller ones, usually white. There are also well-priced oils on board in glazed frames plus unframed originals and prints in mounts.
