Paintings of landscapes and seascapes that evoke a sense of space, light and stillness.

I am energised by wide open spaces, particularly the west coast of Scotland, trying to capture that ever-changing light.
Working mostly in oils, I spend time building up thin layers of paint to create depth and translucency in colours that are soft and subtle.
My most recent work includes some still life paintings.

I originally studied History of Art at the Courtauld, and worked for many years for art publishers before going to art school as a mature student.
Since then I have exhibited widely in both solo and group exhibitions, and have work in private & public collections in the UK and abroad.
Recent exhibitions include The North Wall Arts Centre, Oxford; and a joint exhibition with Claire Christie Sadler at Coventry Cathedral.
