292 Alison Townley WOA

Hand thrown stoneware bowl with folk-inspired hand painted blue decoration on the outside

Region: Burford – North & West

Artform: Ceramics, Pottery

Wychwood Pottery welcomes you to visit Alison Townley’s home studio and exhibition in the Cotswolds during ArtWeeks. This is an opportunity to see a collection of handmade ceramics where function and quiet beauty meet, and to discover the process behind the finished pieces.

Alison makes small-batch functional and decorative pottery inspired by landscape, material and everyday use. Simple forms, natural surfaces and tactile textures are central to her work, with each piece thoughtfully made to be held, used and enjoyed.

Visitors are invited to explore the space, handle the ceramics and talk with Alison about her making process, from clay to finished piece. Whether you are curious about pottery, collecting handmade work, or simply enjoy seeing how things are made, you are warmly invited to come, look around and linger.
