I am an award winning artist from Redditch, Worcestershire. My artwork can be found in independent galleries across the UK.

I  works in series to keep myself and my collectors engaged in my process. My recent “Balance” series marries the vertical mark making from my fractured portraits with colour and transparency variations to bring exciting layered abstract paintings in shimmering metallic, muted and vibrant palettes .

I’ve always been fascinated by the discourse surrounding the ideals of beauty and celebrity status and my “Fractured”and “Kintsugi” series looks at presenting portraits in styles that challenge the conventions. My Zen series layers botanicals using digital paint brushes tocreate visual interest.

Exhibition information

My exhibition will encompass works from my various art series from 2024 and 2025 . My favourite artist is Gerhard Richter I love the way he’s free to work in many styles and mediums without having to ” stay in a lane ” or have a recognised style that cant deviate from . Ive always strived to have my work accepted in the same way, so I have worked in series. I’m fascinated  by people and the everyday . Ive travelled as far as Fiji on my solo expeditions to see how people live and to be inspired by the exotic colours and  flora and fauna found  in my art .

Sandra Wadkin is an award winning artist Currently living in Redditch Worcestershire. She’s been creating her fractured paintings for almost 10 years and they have been distributed via her art publisher to galleries around the UK for the last few years . Sandra regularly takes part in local events such as Warwickshire Open Studios ,Leamimgton Spa Art in the Park, Redditch Pop Up Gallery , The Stratford upon Avon Annual Art Exhibition, and Oxfordshire Art weeks. she’s constantly honing her techniques and trying new mediums to delight her growing group of collectors .
