Exhibition information

I mainly work in silk using machine applique for my designs to create high quality cushions. I enjoy the challenge of enlarging and simplifying my subjects which are inspired by natural flora and fauna often from my garden. A new area for exploration is using a wide range of textures to create a collaged landscape. I love the act of sharing my art on a functional object.

Artist information

I have worked with fabrics in many ways over the years.  Dying and printing fabric on a college design course 40+ years ago developed my skills in design and colour. In addition to the cushion range I also enjoy the challenge of finding and upcycling a variety of fabrics into unique functional bags for everyday use or special events.
