Exhibition information

My art is inspired by the beauty of the British countryside and coast, and the creatures which live there.

Artist information

Artist Janet Bird was born and brought up on a farm in Northern Ireland and now lives in rural Oxfordshire. Her work is inspired by the beautiful British countryside and the creatures, both wild and domestic, that inhabit it. She works mainly in oils, acrylics and soft pastels, but also dabbles in watercolour.

Janet is also a pet portrait artist and cites seeing someone’s face light up as they unwrap a painting of their much loved animal companion as one of the most joyful elements of her work.
