I attended Manchester College of Art and gained a BA qualification, which led on to a further year of training to become a teacher.
After teaching art at secondary school level, retirement has given me the opportunity to create my own art. I'd watched pupils doing linocuts and looked forward to the next lesson, when they would print the next stage.
So, retirement gave me the opportunity to do it myself. It has given me great satisfaction and seems to have more mileage even after 11 years. My images have become pretty complex,( masochistic?). The end stage is everything!
