Exhibition information

This years Williamscot Art Group joint exhibition is titled Common Ground. My interpretation of this theme has been to explore the quiet nostalgia of childhood, in particular where teddy bears become keepers of memory and comfort. Through soft textures and familiar forms, my work reflects on innocence, attachment, and the emotional landscapes we call home.

Artist information

I have always enjoyed creating art and one of my fondest memories is of the painting set my grandparents gave me when I was 11. Over the years I have dipped in and out of painting but since 2024 when I was on maternity leave with my first son I have really enjoyed creating on a regular basis. Now on maternity leave number two it has been trickier to find time to paint but fortunately a sleeping baby in a sling is easier to paint with than an energetic toddler. My hope is that both boys grow up embracing their creative sides and perhaps one day we can host a family exhibition! When not on maternity leave I am a specialist at Bonhams Auctioneers leading the Watch Department in London.
