Days spent with my camera are precious, somehow everyday life always seem to find a way to take over.  Standing, watching people go about their daily lives is rewarding in it’s self but when it coincides with the surrounding architecture that interests me. 

My love of portraiture has been a large part of my photography in 2025, I’m part of the Royal Photographic Society’s 40% Project which celebrates the remarkable women who currently make up 40% of the UK Parliament.  I will be showing all my portraits as part of my exhibition. The first MP I photographed was Annaliese Dodds MP for Oxford East; I spent an hour with her on the Cowley Road.  Watching the way people interacted with her, coming up, chatting, sharing a joke showed me how much she was part of her constituency.

I’ve long wondered what other ways I can present my photography. I came up with the idea of presenting 5 or 6 prints that can be displayed without needing wall space in a handmade box. I’ll be showing these together with some handmade cards.
