Tania Humphrey – portfolio

At work in my studio, my Alitia painting on the easel behind me

Tania Humphrey: Future Sun was inspired by climate change. The piece is set in the future when the sun is now so bright that to go outside people must wear almost solid eyewear with only a small slit through which to see. The vintage feel of the piece is in sharp contrast to the future context. Painted in tones of mono acrylic on a metalic gold background to represent the heat, Future sun was created on a 50x60cms canvas which is unframed but ready to hang and available to buy. £300.00.Tania Humphrey: Liala is a real person who once ran a coffee shop in my home town of Banbury. I was inspired to paint her because of her unique style and stunning eyes. Liala is painted in shades of mono on a sunny yellow background. The piece was created using acrylic paint on a 50x40cms canvas. Liala is unframed but ready to hang and available to buy. £300.00.Tania Humphrey: Relax 2 is a piece from the Body Parts series. It's a bold, contemporary depiction of a girl on the beach, she's lying on a towel in her swimsuit, sunbathing. As only her legs are showing its for the viewer to decide what else she's doing. Perhaps she's asleep or reading a book. Relax 2 is painted using acrylics on a 50x40cms canvas. The piece is unframed but ready to hang and available to buy. £250.00.Tania Humphrey: Relax 1 is a piece from the Body Parts series and is one of my favourite pieces. It's a simplistic but fun, bold representation of a girl lying on the summer grass. You only see her stripey socks but imagine she is wearing a summer outfit of shorts or swimsuit perhaps, she may be reading a book or listening to music..... Relax 1 is painted using acrylics on a 50x40cms canvas. The piece is unframed but ready to hang and available to buy. £250.00.Tania Humphrey: 80's Girl was inspired by an image in a magazine. The '80's is my favourite decade for music and fashion and I wanted the viewer to feel the nostalgia in this piece. 80's Girl is painted using tones of mono on an electric blue background, reminiscent of the era. The piece was created using acrylic paint on a 50x40cms canvas. 80's Girl is unframed but ready to hang and available to buy. £300.00.Tania Humphrey: Alitia is a talented young tattoo artist from my home town of Banbury. I was drawn to paint Alitia, initially because of her flaming red hair but I then decided that her artwork should be the focus of the image and so painted her in mono. This is quite a large piece, 50x75cms, painted using acrylics on canvas. Unframed but ready to hang and available to buy. £650.00.Tania Humphrey: Lost in Music was inspired by my niece who is a singer. Here she is wearing her headphones, immersed in music and is completely unaware of what's happening around her. The piece is painted using acrylic paint in tones of mono on a vibrant red background to represent energy, turquiose soundwaves are all around her and she is metling away to represent her total immersion in her art. Lost in Music is painted on a 60x80cms canvas, unframed but ready to hang and available to buy. £650.00.Tania Humphrey: Glow is an image of a beautiful woman with perfect, glowing, skin. Glow is painted in shades of mono on a vibrant pink background. The piece was created using acrylic paint on a 50x40cms canvas. Glow is unframed but ready to hang and available to buy. £300.00.Tania Humphrey: Helmet is a piece inspired by retro fashion. Created using tones of mono acrylic and using a light yellow background, the piece is painted on a 50x60cms canvas. Helmet is unframed but ready to hang and availble to buy. £300.00.Tania Humphrey: Working from Home is part of a new series of stylised fashion-inspired works. While maintaining a bold and vibrant aesthetic, this series explores the use of full colour alongside more abstract background compositions. This piece depicts a figure in work attire, surrounded by lush foliage inspired by an abundance of houseplants, blending themes of domestic life and personal style. The piece is painted on a 45x60cms canvas. Working From Home is unframed but ready to hang and available to buy. £300.00.Tania Humphrey: Peace Queen is part of a new series of stylised fashion-inspired works. While maintaining a bold and vibrant aesthetic, this series explores the use of full colour alongside abstract background compositions. This piece presents a serene figure, rendered in calming tones that evoke a sense of meditation and inner stillness. Accents of rich gold highlight her crown and jewellery, reinforcing a quiet confidence and a sense of being fully present within her own space. The piece is painted on a 45x60cms canvas. Peace Queen is unframed but ready to hang and available to buy. £300.00.
