Gypsy Barn is down a gravel lane off Alchester Road in Chesterton.
We are a group of three artists who will be displaying our work in studios and gazebos. We will also be offering refreshments: tea, coffee, soft drinks and cake. We can take card and cash.
There are no toilet facilities on site but the Red Cow pub down the road offers a wider range of food and drink along with toilets.
Hi, my name is Col Maw, and I am a stained-glass artist. At school, I wanted to go to art college but my father, coming from classic Yorkshire working class stock told me “you’re not going to bloody art college, get to bloody university”. So after following his advice and then working 30 years in the corporate HR world, 5 years ago, when I retired (early I stress), I went back to my original plan, went to art college and am now creating art in glass for the home and garden.
My inspiration comes from a variety of sources including my love of nature, travel and just enjoying life. I make pieces of all sizes and am always looking to expand my portfolio and stretch my limits. Having started out with small decorations and moved onto larger sun-catches, recently I have expanded into window panels and garden sculptures.
All pieces can be made in any colour and various sizes and am happy to discuss one off commissions.
