Venue: Headington Studio, OX3 7SH. Dates from May2026 TBC – 2 session workshops
Date: Saturday 2 May to Monday 31 August 2026
Timing: 10 am to 4 pm each day for 2 sessions
Cost: £180 including clay. 2 firings and glazes

On the first session day, We will be making some chosen forms, and setting it up to texture and shape them. We will use tools to texture. One to one guidance for beginners in choosing the forms, learning how to do pinch pot/push pot, or making pieces using moulds. You will make at least 3 pieces of reasonable size. Handbuilding only. I will bisque fire them and you will come back to learn how to glaze them.

Second Session : Introduction to glazing, different types of slips/oxides/glazes

You choose your glazes , you glaze your own creations, which are dried and fired once.(900 degrees – bisque firing)
After your glazing, I will fire again at 1200 degrees, and you are ready to pick your ready pieces.

These are 2 day workshops for you to make your pieces from scratch and finish them yourself. My workshops give an insight to stoneware sculptural ceramics for beginners and for others who want to learn more about clay.

I only take 3 people at a time, sometimes to suit a group of 3, or on thursday/saturday/ I am flexible if I have a group of 3.

The price £180 includes clay, 2 firings and glazes. And a light lunch.
