Come along to our family-friendly creative art workshop to learn how to make your own colourful paints from a variety of plants and spices.
Local artist, Emma Williams, will show you how to make your own bright coloured paints from the natural pigments that can be found in plants and spices.
You’ll make your own paint chart, and then learn how to use them as watercolours to paint some beautiful artworks inspired by nature. Adding some other common kitchen ingredients, you’ll magically transform the colours you have made in a fascinating natural process.
There will also be an opportunity to find out how traditional artists’ charcoal is made, using willow and fire, and make a few sticks to take home.
This family-friendly workshop will be led by Earth Trust staff and Emma Williams from Natural Learning Oxford, a local artist and arts educator who specialises in working with families.
At every step you’ll have help and support from Emma and the team and at the end of the session you’ll take home your own naturally beautiful masterpieces!
