In brief, we will be working outside collecting information from the viewed landscape. This can be a response in colour, shape, texture and order. Using compressed charcoal and acrylic paint, marks will be laid down in a quick and expressive way. Returning to the studio these quick sketches will be torn into collage pieces and rearranged to achieve well balanced abstracts. We will then go on to take this to a further stage in creating more “final” pieces. A great fun approach which can be incredibly freeing!
