Victoria Baker is a designer maker in leather accessories. She originally trained as a Theatre Costumier but after many years being involved in a wide range of theatre/film and dance productions, took a break to pursue other interests. This gave her time to consider her next creative move.
She has been able to draw on her considerable breadth of experience of 15 years as a freelance costumier to aid her development as a designer and maker of a range of leather accessories, using some textiles too. In 2010 Victoria changed the emphasis in her work from textiles which led her on to her present work in leather. Victoria develops all her leatherwork in her studio. Recently Victoria has been learning to weave and intends to produce her own fabric with a view to using it in her future work.
