Tuula Nicholson and Shaun Robinson welcome you to experience their annual Artweeks exhibition of handmade contemporary sculptures. Tuula and Shaun have collaborated as Stik Designs for over two decades, creating aesthetic organic forms inspired by the materials they use.
Taking place in a large gallery-style, self-built home in the heart of Bampton, the exhibition showcases a wide array of items for the home and garden, including bread and cheese boards, plant markers, coasters, and many more versatile products. In addition to their selection of practical home and garden items, Tuula and Shaun also create predominantly abstract sculptures made of natural and reclaimed materials.
With a background in Art & Design, their work transforms stone, slate, brass, and wood into forms specifically designed for art galleries and for the home. Stik Designs has been invited to contribute to various gallery shops and exhibitions to complement the work of other artists such as Barbara Hepworth and David Nash. Today, among their key clients are the Tate Galleries, Hepworth Wakefield, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, and Burford Garden Company. Past clients include Turner Contemporary, Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art, Towner Eastbourne, Rodin Paris, Kew Gardens, and Kelmscott Manor, to name a few.
This exhibition is a great opportunity to meet both of the artists and see their work in person. Their gallery will be open every day from the 17th of May to the 25th of May from 11am - 5pm. Tuula and Shaun really look forward to seeing you there.
