Susan Olave OTA is a Fashion & Textiles graduate and has enjoyed a long career in couture, designing and making bespoke and special occasion ladies clothing. In contrast to the fine precision of couture, her latest stitch creations depict a vibrancy in the use of colour and texture, capturing both natural and abstract images. This passion is incorporated into a variety of objects or simply admired as a work of pure textile art.
Recently, her love of the three dimensions has rekindled her pottery skills, creating a variety of pieces showing her versatility in this medium.
Ken Organ OAS works in a wide range of media but mainly in acrylic and charcoal. He’s particularly interested in portraiture and landscape and recently took part in an exhibition at South Oxford Community Arts with fellow artists Martin Beek and Felicity Cormack; which was the result of a year’s painting and drawing as a group on the Ridgeway. Ken exhibits regularly with the Oxford Art Society and has had work accepted twice for the RA Summer Show and six times for the Bath Academy of Art Open Exhibition. He is also a graphic designer. firstname.lastname@example.org www.kenorganart.com
Caroline George is a former senior Creative Director hairstylist. Currently a freelance colour specialist including balayage (hand-painting hair), she portrays her newly found love of artistic expression mainly through textiles.
Through stitching, printing, stumpwork, appliqué, and painting, from wall art to lampshades and cushions, vibrant colours to earthy tones, her themes are often inspired by nature or spirit.
A warm welcome awaits when you visit the artists who are exhibiting in a Mongolian Yurt, set in the wonderful Oxfordshire countryside close to the Wittenham Clumps.
