St Blaise Church in Milton Village has been beautifully renovated with new kitchen and toilets and is hosting Artweeks again in 2022 with a varied group of local artists. These include two painters, both based locally. Ken Organ paints vibrant portraits and landscapes in oils and acrylics. South-African born Sabine Barber concentrates on portraits and wildlife in pastel and oils. Two printmakers Catriona Hopton and Tracey Underhill will be displaying their print work which includes figurative and abstract subjects. St Blaise is the patron saint of hand weavers and Angela Pawlyn will be demonstrating her weaving techniques on different traditional hand looms and displaying her beautiful woven designs. The last of the group is the potter and ceramacist Malcolm Moor who will be displaying a wide range of both stoneware and porcelain pottery as well as recent sculptural constructions.
Meet the artists: Saturday 14th 11am-1pm.
