A combination of hand building techniques are used to produced both sculptural and functional stoneware vessels. Fragments are a key starting point. My focus is on the contrasts between heavy grogged texture or a smooth surface of the main body then the more controlled and perhaps recognisable added sprigged or printed decoration. The contrasts continue with the vibrant gold or pastel interior, the soft exterior colour and the hint and reflection of the gloss glaze hidden in the added architectural detail. My studio will be open each day new with work in progress and construction methods on display. I am a member of the Craft Potters Association of Great Britain.
