Penny Ling was only 8 years old when she first excited her still life artwork. She moved to Oxford in 84 and studied Architecture at Oxford Polytechnic (Now Brookes) She later worked at the Oxford Mail and Times as a graphics journalist between 1990 to 95. From 95 she moved into website and e-commerce development always keeping a hand in drawing and painting. Over the years she has provided line drawings and cartoons for a wide variety of publications and private clients. After studying with Mike Skidmore in 2014/15, she has developed a style of abstract art which she used to create as a child. Experimenting with new paints, colours and materials, including gold leaf, she creates themed abstracts or commissioned abstracts using colours which complement people's interior design.
