My love of art and gardening have been at the centre of my whole life. By profession, I am a Landscape Architect/Environmental Consultant. I have created my artwork alongside and in response to my profession and my garden. The artwork that I create has strong links with the natural and built environment. Landscapes, natural forms, found objects and how people interact and respond to them are constantly recurring themes in my work. Walking, sketching and painting in nature form a source of inspiration and a starting point. An interest in life drawing and abstraction has also informed my figurative work. Over the past 15 years I have explored the varied processes of printmaking from lino cuts, dry point, colorgraphs, lithographs, Japanese woodblock and monoprints, often combining processes to achieve unpredictable outcomes. Recently I have focused on collage using monoprinted images which gives me maximum flexibility to create individual and varied images.
