As a documentary photographer all subjects are of interest to me and everything has a fascination, particularly when touched by the hand of man, or woman.
But perhaps the most engaging and challenging subject is my fellow humans. For many years I have used the portrait as a means to explore and describe the human condition both in serendipitous encounters around the world as well as in more formal situations, but always hopefully with respect, empathy and sometimes even with humour.
For Oxfordshire Art Weeks 2026 I am exhibiting a small selection of the many portraits I have taken over the past 15 years or so both in my previous home town of Bristol and in more distant lands.
