The Ashmolean Museum and Oxfordshire Artweeks have partnered up with a local community group to explore painting outdoors, inspired by Impressionist painter, Camille Pissarro, the subject of a special exhibition now on at the Museum. Pissarro and the Impressionists surprised the world with their love of painting everyday scenes outdoors. Artist Francesca Shakespeare is inspiring families to have fun experimenting with paint in their local park. Artworks created are being displayed in the Ashmolean Museum during Artweeks, May 2022. Come and see a digital display of the canvasses that families took home with them. Photographer Jacob Chambers has captured the warm, sunny Sunday in March when over 200 children and their parents came to Florence Park! The display is in the lobby by the Learning Centre at the bottom of the main stairs during May.
