MHA Brookfield is a nursing and dementia care home situated in Greater Leys. We encourage our residents to take part in a wide variety of art and crafts to stimulate and engage them. Led by local artist Jane Lees, Victoria Davidson and Sally May of the Activities team who work with the residents to bring out their latent talent. We encourage all residents to participate in the collaborative artworks regardless of ability. It is visible how much pleasure and satisfaction residents get from working cooperatively on an ambitious art project, or in trying out a different medium. We are also exhibiting photography from our renowned Brookfield calendar taken by local photographer Rebecca Phillipson and our seaside mural on the dementia unit, featuring nostalgic promenade shops and members of staff depicted as the shopkeepers.
