Juliet Bankes, Clare Crombie, Gabriele Kern, Marina Price, Louise Shaw and Gill White are members of m.fcollective, a multi generational group of women artists living at various points along the waterways of Oxfordshire. We have exhibited and popped up in some unusual places, allowing those places to inspire our work, for example our pop up show “Just Add Water” at Castle Quays Shopping Centre in Banbury - June 2021, a month long collection in the window of Stanton St John Village Store-September 2022, our “Interactive Market Stall” at Oxford’s Offbeat Festival in July 2022, and a pop up”intervention” in Templar’s Square Shopping Centre in September 2022. We originally met while studying at Ovada between 2016 and 2020, and our first collaboration was a response to the “Intrepid Women” exhibition at the Pitt Rivers Museum in March 2019. Since then we have supported, inspired and fed each other’s ideas and creative practice with regular meet ups to make, talk, laugh and eat delicious food - some examples of which you can expect to find on offer along with our art work if you come to visit.
