Ceramics

All pieces are handmade in my Oxfordshire garden studio and are inspired by the vintage ceramics that I love to collect, and by the natural world. I enjoy throwing at the wheel and experimenting with shape and form, working in stoneware and porcelain.

Growing up as the daughter of an antiques dealer, my childhood home was crammed with boxes spilling over with auction room treasures. Victorian vases, Art Deco tea sets and mid-century pots surrounded me and their designs have had a lasting influence.

I enjoy making functional pieces that have simple and pleasing forms. Clean lines, gentle curves and simplicity in the glazing define my design style.

I also enjoy teaching from my garden studio, running weekly classes for my regular students and for those who want to give it a go, I provide one-off pottery experiences.
