Traditional building techniques and rural crafts are in decline across the UK. The increasing skills shortage in the conservation sector means knowledge is being lost, putting our heritage structures at risk.  The Coleshill Heritage and Rural Skills Centre champions the traditional skills needed to support this. We share and develop heritage conservation skills via beginners’ courses, space for local groups and rental units for professional craftspeople seeking a community environment.

We invite you to see the work of multidisciplinary craftspeople who provide courses and/or create their work from studio spaces at Coleshill. From stone carving to textile based work and much more in between - this spring we are championing the crafts which are in decline across the UK, by displaying a variety of crafts and an opportunity to see crafts people at work in open studios.
