As an artist in pastels since the early 1980s and an Artweeks exhibitor since 1990, I am constantly seeking out new ways of interpreting the landscapes encountered on numerous countryside walks at home and abroad, and adapting my painting style accordingly. In recent years this has seen the introduction of acrylic inks as a base to my pastel paintings and the search for a looser style of working to catch the true essence of time and place. I am self-taught and my style is my own although I much admire the work of Joan Eardley and Kurt Jackson. All the paintings on view are one-off originals. Commissions welcomed.
