Impressions of Dorchester

A collaborative installation of small artworks created by a variety of groups within the local community and by the young people of our charity partner, ‘Be Free Young Carers’. Designed and led and by Oxford-based artist Emma Coleman-Jones, individual responses to Dorchester and the local environment are displayed together in an innovative design inspired by the magnificent structure of the Abbey itself.

The exhibition is free to view daily during Abbey opening hours in the People’s Chapel of Dorchester Abbey. Artworks from primary school children, young adults, older members of the community and local artists will be displayed together. Works will reflect the physical, natural and built environment of this beautiful and distinctive area.
