
Building on her London degree in Printed Textiles and Decoration, Debbie has worked in a studio producing printed patterns for interior fabrics, and as a teacher, including running art departments for international summer courses, and working as a Textiles teacher in a girls boarding school. Debbie now works full time as a textiles artist, producing landscapes of the local area and Cornwall, as well as producing commissions of dogs and homes. Debbie has exhibited her work in galleries across the South East and is currently represented by Fitch and Fellows gallery in Thame. For 2019 Artweeks, she was selected to exhibit at the Oxford Open. With more than 70 artists on display, Debbie won the runner up prize for her large embroidery, ‘Winter in the Woods’.
Debbie focuses on freemotion embroidery. Summer fields, bluebell woods, winter snow scenes, mountain views, Cornish seascapes are her current source of inspiration. The exhibition is set in her summer house in the beautiful village of Ewelme.
