Acrylic & mixed media landscape & still life paintings, characterised by blocks of saturated colour, flattened planes, & strong lines & shapes.
Most of my paintings are inspired by the landscapes of the Ridgeway, Chilterns & Berkshire Downs. I am especially interested in landscapes where the natural lie of the land is accentuated by man-made interventions such as tracks, hedgerows & farmed fields, planted woodland & reservoirs.
Until 2021, I was based in a small Buckinghamshire village close to Ivinghoe Beacon. I now live in Wallingford, with Castle Meadows & the River Thames closeby.
Joining me for Oxfordshire Art Weeks are illustrator Sophie Bass & jeweller Kate Wilkinson.
The Coach House is just two minutes walk from the central crossroads near Waitrose. Please park at one of the town centre car parks and walk to the crossroads. Castle Street goes north, with Boots Opticians and the Lamb Antiques Arcade either side of the street. The Coach House is on the right hand side through a pair of stone gateposts.
